First off, I've never really listened to metal as I don't think it's a genre I would like. The first song, Invaders, is interesting, especially because of the historical connotations of it. Currently I'm taking a course on British history, so it makes the song more enjoyable. The beat is good, I'm not a fan of the singer. He's good but the prolonged high notes are overdone, even though I believe that's a signature of the genre. Cool start to the 3rd song, The Prisoner. So far, the album feels very homogenous. I'm liking it more than I was expecting, however I'm not sure if I would listen to this on a daily basis. Run to the hills: I didn't enjoy the song itself, however the lyrics are definitely intense as they depicts the conflict between Native Americans and European colonisers. I'm really enjoying how all the songs seem to tell a story, mostly sad and horrifying. Overall, it's a nice album and I understand how people that like this genre would deem it as a great piece of music, however none of the songs really stuck out to me.
