Who's Next by The Who
Dec 17 2025

All the different instruments layer on top of each other so seamlessly, it drags you into the nostalgic fever dream that the album aims to create. It kind of shocks you throughout the album in a way that you never know where the songs are gonna go. Genuinely my favorite part of the album was Entwistle’s melodic bass lines. They really add so much to this album (specifically in The Song Is Over and Won’t Get Fooled Again). There were a few songs that I probably wouldn’t listen to again (My Wife..) but overall a very very solid album and a classic for a reason. Favorites: Baba O’Riley, Love Ain’t For Keeping, The Song Is Over, Won’t Get Fooled Again

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Dec 18 2025

Channel Orange is a great transition album, which I am especially fond of. Each track is like a different television channel, all kind of telling different stories. Frank Ocean’s music isn’t my taste, but I really appreciated how his smooth vocals were complimented by the synth in a few songs. It was an enjoyable experience, but probably not an album that I would listen to in its entirety again. Favorites: Thinkin Bout You, Sweet Life, Super Rich Kids, Crack Rock

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Dec 20 2025

LOVE!!! This album genuinely feels like a 50s time capsule, basically like you’re in the audience at the time. How I LOVEEE live albums! Vaughan really was so talented and knew how to keep an audience rolling throughout a show and it’s evident in this album! So much can be learned about 50s jazz just from 9 songs. This is how it’s done. Favorites: Willow Weep For Me, Just One Of Those Things, Stairway To The Stars, Just A Gigolo, How High The Moon
