1001 Albums Summary

“Four Women” is already stunning, I love it. “Lilac Wine” is breathtaking, as in you get so invested in where the music is pushing you to that not you, but your body forgets its routine and functioning, because its pushed all your senses to absorbing this song. The ending song, oh my gosh. You can just tell how music has changed over time. I feel like I can hear every instrument, oh my lord. This album was a 10/10, my God.

Within the first few beats of this song, I could see the impact that this band likely had on (or carried through to) my generation's music. Lowkey think I need to read the book now because I'm curious why the author chose this album. I'm on the song "Insight" and it sounds like someone recorded it on a device outside... (not necessarily 'low' quality but poor quality..) There's almost a spooky element to it.

I liked it! I don't think I finished it, but I was surprised this is what Pink Floyd sounds like.

I wasn't able to finish it completely, but I can tell I'll enjoy it, and will finish it eventually.

Bjork Bjork's voice feels light yet firm in their declarations. I can't really describe their sound except that it feels like a whole bunch of emotions infused into singular entities. As you listen to each song, you'll discover that there feels like a million sounds making up one cohesive piece. I enjoyed consuming this as an artistic, singular experience. Songs transitioned from feeling like a futuristic dance party to feeling like we were smack gob in the middle of a fairy tale to feeling like we were at a nude music festival (all of which I've never experienced). On a less sophisticated note, they have to be the founder of the cursive singing movement because the Lorde and Halsey flashbacks I got listening were insane.
