1001 Albums Summary

Funny that this is the first album generated. Yesterday I had the idea, based on this record being suggested to me by Tidal, to listen to Elton John's discography but I didn't make it through the first record. We'll see how this goes. This starts with Tiny Dancer which could be good or it could just be downhill from here. It's a solid record but not really my style. Has a few standout tracks, though. Fav tracks: Tiny Dancer, Levon, All the Nasties

Day 2. I guess I'm just going through the singer songwriter pianists. Gotta say, First Taste is a bit... embarrassing. The sequencing on this record is a bit bizarre as well. Seems to alternate between upbeat and dirges. Not her best record. Highlights: Criminal, Pale September, Carrion

I remember seeing this film as a teenager and instantly loving the Pusherman track. I don't remember being hit across the face by any of the other music but, years later, when I listened to the album on its own I realized it's pretty much great from wall to wall. Curtis was great, Superfly was great. Let's see if it holds up.

Never listened to this but it's mostly up my alley. Solid record throughout with the singles Our Lips Are Sealed and We Got the Beat being obvious standouts. First time feeling the obvious connection between We Got the Beat and Sleater Kinney's early records.
