Take a Bow: 3/5. Enjoyable to listen to, but not very dynamic. Starlight: 3.5/5. Won me over by the end. Simple but effective. Supermassive Black Hole: 2.5/5. Gives me Home Depot vibes. This does nothing for me. Actually, the occasional abrasive bits are kinda cool. The bit at 2:30 is cool. I don't like the main riff. Map of the Problematique: 4/5. Really cool intro. I don't have much to say. This just fucks. Doesn't blow me away though. Soldier's Poem: 2/5. I don't think the writing is good. The background vocals are cool when the first come in, them they begin to remind me of Christmas music. His voice gets kinda annoying in parts. Not particularly awful though. Invincible: 1.5/5. Extremely melodramatic. Again, the writing isn't good. I like the ghostly wind. His voice gets annoying. His voice is annoying in this song. The instruments are kinda grating. I really don't like this one. Assassin: 4/5: Despite my problems with this song, it's so much fun. Exo-Politics: 3/5. Guitar is too loud. His voice alternates between being great and grating. Pretty fun all things considered. City of Delusion: 4.5/5. I love this, actually. My only problems is the volume of the instrument and his voice. Hoodoo: 2.5/5. Best lyrics on the album, but pretty nothing musically. Knight of Cydonia: 4.5/5. This song is awesome. We all know it's awesome. I just have high standards for my 5s. Obviously the best song. Overall score: Decent 3/5. This is an extremely flawed yet equally fun album.
