1001 Albums Summary

This album came out as I moved to NYC. I remember my coworker, who was on /r/chiefkeef, was like "this album sucks". Kinda always stuck with me. The Drake stans are right when there aren't really jams on here. That said, I still love this album. It's jazz, and I like jazz. A lot of this is hokey, but sometimes art is like that tho. That ending is still great and very prescient.

I never really understood the allure of Britpop. Like, is the whole thing that they are trying to be a modern Beatles or some shit? This album is fine. Just okay. I guess I'm seeing what they are trying to do? It's lame as fuck tho. For the time, tho, would you put this on at a party? Would you dance to this at a concert? I just don't get it, and I love emo.

For Sabbath, I've only ever listened to their first two albums. I'm a bigger fan of the first, to be quite honest. Changes is a banger. I love the Charles Bradley cover a lot, but Ozzie can really make you feel stuff. Overall, pretty great album. Doesn't quite clear the first two albums for me, but it now has me interested in Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.

The first song needs to loose that didgeridoo.

Hell yeah, yacht rock. I was first exposed to this album as a sample in Gas Draws from MF DOOM. That was a song that I played when I was going home drunk from the bar. I suspect DOOM might have done the same. I'm listening to this during the winter, which is a shame, as Black Cow is a summer song.
