1001 Albums Summary

I kept telling myself "Jayde, you're not gonna five-star the first album on the list come on! You're just not calibrated yet." But I gotta do it; nothing else feels right. I found this fun and meaningful, plus the instrumental tracks were such grooves dang. To me, the line between 4 and 5 is replayability, and eventually i conceded at the very least, those instrumental tracks are going on the TTRPG brainstorming and atmosphere playlists for sure. 1 - i have negative feelings 2 - i have no feelings 3 - glad i heard it 4 - "oh i like that album!" *5* - in the rotation

Wow, so that's what Paul Di' Anno's vocals sound like? Yeahh, definitely more of a Bruce Dickinson girlie... I'm spoilt with these first two for sure. Piece of Mind is already one of my favourite albums, so some early maiden was a treat. Fun to hear how much of their Piece of Mind sound they've already got and playing with fantastical theming. Needs Bruce tho gotta say! ...and what was with that "Iron Maiden" pronounciation at the end? I'm feeling targeted. I've not heard any of their music before but my gosh I wanna thank them for this prog rock opera-y andre-3000-ass sci fi goodness. I have to imagine this will go up in rating for me once I get into it further (and I will be getting into their discography), but 4 feels honest -- I don't think I clicked in as much as I would want to. Can't wait to learn more about the plot and themes -- there's lore, gang! Good! I have heard parts of this one before cos I use jazz for background music quite often. I don't have the musical understanding to process the more revolutionary aspects of this album I'm aware of, beyond that the ways it meanders and progresses feel right with my trains of thought.
