OK Computer by Radiohead
Jan 06 2026

Listening to it in 2026 definitely doesn’t make it sound as fresh as it probably did when it first dropped cause every alt rock band after this seemed to take it as inspiration. But I guess that’s really the most impressive thing about it after all. Great album. Standout tracks to me are Paranoid Android, Karma Police and Electioneering!

Not really an enthusiastic of the Beatles, but this is definitely one of my favorite moments and album coming from the band. The psychedelic feel to it and the sense of it all being a concert from the fictional band they are portraying makes this a really interesting listening experience. Standout tracks to me are With a Little Help from my Friends, Getting Better and Within You Without You.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Jan 08 2026

I’ve heard some of David Bowie’s albums before like Ziggy Dust, Let’s Dance and Never Let You Down so although I’m not a big connoisseur of his work I was familiar with his music (also who isn’t?). All this to say that even though The Next Day features some interesting imagery and music, it lacks that Bowie effect that his most memorable records do. At times it feels unnecessarily long and dull. Still enjoyed listening to it and the standout tracks to me were The Next Day, Where Are We Now? and Valentine’s Day.

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 09 2026

Legendary debut album by the most legendary guitarist of all time. Really don’t have much else to say, this is the definition of perfectly crafted rock bangers. With the exception of 2 or 3 less enthusiastic songs, all else are standouts to me. 5 out of 5.

Jan 10 2026

I appreciate a lot of Bob Dylan’s most popular songs and heard 1 or 2 of his albums, but I wasn’t familiar with this one. Since I had already listened to Highway 61 Revisited before, the presence of electric tracks weren’t really a surprise to me but great anyway. The thing to me is that even though his most brilliant and interesting work is centered around the folksy music and storytelling, at times it does really get annoying to listen to his nasal voice for 40-60 minutes straight when there’s not really anything huge happening in the background music but when that magnificent narrative is aligned with some interesting production it’s the perfect combo. Standout tracks to me were Subterranean Homesick Blues, Outlaw Blues and On the Road Again.

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Jan 11 2026

I had never heard of Echo and the Bunnymen up until now and was surprisingly pleased to do so. The record feels like a mix between the eccentricity by Talking Heads, the drama from The Smiths and also some of the music from The Cure. Loved the orchestra the haunting feeling of these songs (recommend listening to it at night as its mores fitting to the overall vibe). Standout tracks to me were Silver, Nocturnal Me (my absolute favorite) and Seven Seas.

Ramones by Ramones
Jan 12 2026

This is honestly very boring. But I do understand the impact this sound had back in the day and its everlasting influence in rock music, so it would be unfair to not give its props and recognition. The thing that annoys me is that personally I can’t see any point or feel anything with these collection of songs. It’s purely for the aesthetic of it (and in this case it does fulfill its purpose). Really like Blitzkrieg Bop, Chain Saw and Let’s Dance. If only weren’t for the other 11 songs that sound the exact same without their charm…
