synth dreamy 80s pop. well done for the genre but not my personal favorite on an aesthetic level. Fits a certain vibe.

Deeper more interesting lyrical content than I was expecting. Really nice production. I can hear jazz influence. Very driving unconventional sort of 80s rock

excellent 90s peak angst yodel singing, fun songwriting and lyrics. fun production with drum machines, some amazing bass playing!

okok I think i get prince now (didn't before). Classic songwriting with fun risks. Kinda Zappa (less silly) and Pink Floyd (almost rock opera vibes) but with more funk and sexuality. Excellent musicianship and production.

Solid. Most of the weight is in the opening Let's Get it On -- what a banger of an introduction to the album. The rest of the album kinda sags until the end. Was really excited to hear You Sure Love to Ball; never heard it and it was a great way to end the album.
