1001 Albums Summary

This album really stands as a testament to how having a handful of iconic tracks is often far more important than having consistent quality, or "no skips" as it were. Some of the highest highs and lowest lows exist on this album directly next to each other but it doesn't matter because we remember how transcendental Bohemian Rhapsody and The Prophet's Song are and forget that I'm In Love With My Car exists.

I kinda love this? Completely out of my normal wheelhouse but this is just a really pleasant listen through and through. There's a lot to chew on with this album, the instrumentals are have a lot of layers and depth I'm not used to from music of this era.

Did not enjoy this as much as Dusty In Memphis. A lot more barebones in a way that makes it far more obvious how much of the album is motown with the serial numbers filed off.
