3/5 - This album listen just confirmed that my Lexapro has officially kicked in, because this doesn't hit. For my first ever Radiohead album, not too shabby. Beautiful musicality, and I love the pure utter agony of the singer. But, there's this emotional distance between each song and I, and I got a little bored after My Iron Lung. It's beautiful, but also a drag, maybe I will relisten when I am more depressed and pretentious.
3.5/5 - LOVE the guitar and drum work in this album, slightly monotonous.
2.5/5 - Unique voice, coolish instrumental, but background music in my ears. Nothing really pulled me in.
3/5 - More entertaining than expected, realizing that I really miss songs that tell stories. Country with a dash of something else. Don't see myself re-listening, but I have no regrets.
3.75/5 - Initially found the perversion of the lyrics intriguing if not slightly sexy, but then the whole "breasts" thing got old, and it lost me. Really fun listen, there's a few songs I would definitely listen to again.
3/5 - This shit was all over the place, and I kinda dig it? This album reminds me SO much of Bjork. Eccentric, rhythmically challenged, yet inadvertently cool. Making dog shit sound like gold is an art form I can appreciate. Took 2 listens and I am still not 100% there, but I want to return to this one because I feel like I need more time with it.
3.5/5 - I can see how this album could have been provocative in its time period, and even now. For me it’s just…meh. Like it’s kinda like stock music in a way. Non-offensive, enjoyable, but nothing memorable for me. But maybe this sentiment is due to a lot of artists taking inspiration from TRS.
1/5 - No, just no. Couldn't get past track 7, and that was me holding on for dear life.
