i got my brand on you live - 4.5 / 10 i’m your hoochie coochie man live - 5/10 baby please don’t go live - 8/10 soon forgotten live - 5/10 tiger in your tank live - 6/10 i feel so good live - 7/10 ive got my mojo working live - 6/10 i’ve got my mojo working pt. 2 live - 6/10 goodbye newport blues live - 8/10 meanest woman - 7/10 overall my take on the album is that it is an incredible display of chicago blues! after finding out that he was a major influence for blues becoming mainstream i now appreciate this album more. the instrumental dynamic is incredible and live vocals arguably more powerful than studio version. overall album rating : 6.3 / 10

cry to me - 7/10 Just out of reach (of my two empty arms) - 8/10 goodbye baby (baby goodbye) - 6.5/10 if you need me - 5.5/10 can’t nobody love you - 7/10 someone to love - 6.4/10 your good for me - 7/10 won’t you give him (one more chance) - 6/10 hard, ain’t it hard - 5/10 you can’t love em all - 6.5/10 beautiful brown eyes - 8/10 he’ll have to go - 7.5/10 this album was an incredible eye opening piece of art. i wasn’t aware of “rock n soul” genre until now and i love it! the musical dynamic and jazz like features make the album flow smoothly and show the blue prints of rock n soul. solomon burkes gospel vocals give such great powerful vocals and uses a distinctive growl that i absolutely love. overall album rating: 7.2/10

monday monday - 6/10 straight shooter - 7/10 got a feelin - 9/10 i call your name - 6/10 do you wanna dance - 6/10 go where you wanna go - 5/10 california dreamin - 6/10 spanish harlem - 5/10 hey girl - 6/10 you baby - 7/10 the “in” crowd - 6/10 i have no clue why this album is getting so much hate? i understand it’s highly beatles influenced due to it being made in the sixties but it’s very catchy with its sunshine pop and folk-rock elements! i really enjoy the switch of lead singers from the women to men ratio giving the album a great balance of harmonic arrangements. as much as it sticks to the same sound it has many different touches of 60s elements like folk, jazz, slow music, empowering music, etc. after a while i see it’s repetitive course. although besides that its a very classic 60s piece with good vocals. overall album rating: 5.7/10

care of cell 44 - 5/10 a rose for emily - 4/10 maybe after he’s gone - 6/10 beechwood park - 7/10 brief candles - 4/10 hung up on a dream - 7/10 changes - 5/10 i want her she wants me - 4/10 this will be our year - 6/10 Butchers tale (western front 1968) - 5/10 Friends of mine - 3/10 time of the season - 5/10 this album felt honestly pretty bland with overall basic production. nothing much to this album but very impressive style for a late 60s album. psychedelic pop was not widely known and i applaud them for that. this music doesn’t necessarily resonate with my taste but overall bland as i said. overall album rating: 4.9/10

E-Pro - 6/10 Que’ onda guero - 5/10 Girl - 4/10 Missing - 6/10 Black Tambourine - 6/10 Earthquake Weather - 8/10 Hell yes - 6/10 Broken Drum - 6/10 scarecrow - 5/10 go it alone - 6/10 farewell ride - 7/10 Rental Car - 8/10 emergency exit - 5/10 this album is absolutely incredible! from the insanely great layering in production to genre blending, this album pushed barriers showing genre blending is absolutely plausibe. Becks vocals were great alongside the genres he picked, they very smoothly fit into rock to rap to even genres like folktronica and gothic folk. This album was one of my favorites so far and i think it deserves most recognition for its impact from a post-modern standpoint and how it paved the way for the boundaries of “genres” overall album rating: 7.6/10
