1001 Albums Summary

Did I know prior: Yes Favorite Song: Boulevard of Broken Dreams I still remember the first time I heard Green Day on the radio and watched their music videos for American Idiot and Wake Me Up When September Ends on MTV. My rating is a little skewed because of the millennial nostalgia of it all, but I'm also a sucker for a concept album with a consistent narrative and I think this one is highly successful.

Did I know prior: No Favorite song: Speed King More instrumental than I expected. Fun at times, but didn't move me. Found it to be repetitive and some of the guitar & organ solos were grating.

Did I know prior: No Favorite song: Resolution Easy to listen to, but not very memorable.

Did I know prior: No Favorite song: Heroes Not particularly memorable. Was surprised by all the instrumentals in the back half.
