1001 Albums Summary

Super good jazz fusion I hadn’t heard before. Every college kid got Kind of Blue. It’s the standard for good reason. But this is more modern. It’s jazz fusion. It’s like Herbie Hancock but it’s Miles muthaf***in Davis. Rock needs funk meets jazz. Glad to have just met it.

This album changed my life. As a young kid growing up in North Dakota, this cassette tape (along with Run DMC's Raising Hell) opening up a whole new world for me and my cousin John. 10,000 hip hop shows later, still grateful. And it still rocks.

Perfect album. The best MC of his ever supported by the likes of George Clinton and Thundercat, and the spirt of Tupac.

Quite revolutionary. This music isn't my cup of tea but sounded pioneering for its time (1979). Respect.

i listened to and liked this as a child. here's what nice thing i have to say: this is probably one of the best albums of a terrible genre in a terrible time in music. this music is not good. I apologize to my youth self.

can't say i enjoyed any of this.
