1001 Albums Summary

It's okay, a little boring for my taste, and the songs that lean towards country i turned off immediately (Has my Fire Really Gone Out?) I liked the first song on the album (Sunflower) but again i didn't add it to my library as it was a bit too slow and sappy for me. Maybe it's his male voice that throws me off with the gentle songs. I liked the rockabilly sound of 5th Season, but the country twang was a bit much for me. Overall i didn't really enjoy this album but it wasn't terrible.

I liked the goofy toned songs a lot, but the political songs were my favorite. I liked the funky beats and the fun creative lyrics, and the female MC in the group was my favorite.

Not a big fan of music without lyrics, I can see myself studying or reading to this album though.

I like the songs, I wish they had less repetition though. It's hard for me to understand the symbolism on first listen, but some of it really hit hard. I don't really like Courtney Love's voice, i think that's the main thing that throws me off about this album/band. The only songs I genuinely really liked was "I Think That I Would Die" and "She Walks On Me," the aggression matched with their messages were perfect. I added "Doll Parts" and "Asking For It" to my library too, though. Best albums yet.

I wish I could give it 0 stars, terrible.
