thoughts while listening:
- gaye has a very beautiful voice!
- the instrumentation on this album is so fun and vibrant
- i don't resonate really strongly with some of the messages in this album because i'm not really religious, but that's okay!
not something i'd typically listen to, but it's not a bad album. if you like alternative hip-hop 90s music, then i'd recommend it to you
really interesting 2000s rock album. i liked it for the most part, although i don't know how much i'd go back to a lot of the tracks.
3 / 5 stars (since i can't rate it 3.5)
pre-listen notes: really excited to see a canadian band in the mix! haven't, to my knowledge, heard any of their music, so i'm excited to see whatever they bring to the table.
thoughts while listening
- red barchetta and yyz are both really good songs!
- love the instruments
i wish there was 3.5 on here because i'd rate it that, but i think that i'll stick with 3 / 5 stars.
everyone says that david bowie is one of the greats, but i hadn't really checked him out prior to listening to this album. of course, i knew one or two of his songs, but to actually sit down and listen with intention is different. after listening to this entire album, i can see why there is so much hype around him.
i love how every song is unique in its own way yet still cohesive with the album; he has a distinct sound without creating the same song over and over again which i appreciate a lot. upon first listen, i liked almost every single song on the album.
i really wish that this website had half star ratings because i think i'd give it a 4.5 / 5 star rating if i could, but 4 / 5 stars will have to do.
first ever full queen album !!
the best part of every queen song, besides freddie's great vocals of course, is always the guitar. i could listen to the isolated guitar parts every day.
the march of the black queen and the seven seas of rhye are both great songs, but otherwise, none of the other songs really stuck out as something i would revisit regularly. the album as a whole, however, is still solid.

checked the album to see that it was two ~19 minute long songs and i am both scared and excited to see what i'm in for
thoughts after listening :
- reaallyyy long songs that truly take you on a journey.
- not really my style, but i still think these are nice songs! if you like classical jazz, i'd recommend them to you.

i must confess that i have never heard of dusty springfield, but i'm glad that this website gave me this album to review.
the album started off strong with its first few songs, but after that, my initial intrigue plateaued. there is nothing wrong with any of the songs, but they aren't all songs that i see myself revisiting frequently. the songs from this album that i do like are very beautiful, however. her voice, the instruments, and the lyrics in those songs are gorgeous.
in just about every song on this album, her soulful voice is the highlight of the song.
3 / 5 stars
definitely an album out of my usual variety, but it was good nonetheless.
although i don't have any real issue with the album, i don't really see myself going back to most of the tracks. with that being said, due to the fact that there were so many songs, it was unlikely that i would connect with every song, and they were enjoyable to listen to as a whole work of art.
3 / 5 stars
i don't have much to say about this album. it was a nice listen, though i don't see myself revisiting most of the songs besides without you.

a nice old jazz album that sends you on a journey
i really like the vibe of most of these songs. all of the hits from this album are classics that i can see myself going back to regularly.

maybe a bit too experimental for me, but i didn't mind stonemilker.
