1001 Albums Summary

Absolutely loved this. Have heard BB King songs before but never listened to a whole album. Loved everything about it and have added the cd to my wish list.

This was lovely to listen to. I've heard quite a bit of Willie Nelson before but just the country stuff. His voice is really good on this album. Would definitely listen to it again.

Enjoyed this. I knew a couple of the tracks. Would definitely listen to more.

Not my favourite album by The Velvet Underground but still love Lou Reed’s voice. Feels more commercial than their earlier albums. Have a feeling this will grow on me with further listens but on a first listen it’s only a 3.

Not that familiar with Common but this was good enough. Stand out track was Testify (I even paused the album to watch the music video for that one) but I’m not sure that isn’t in big part due to the Honey Cone sample, which is amazing. I feel like it’s the samples I’m going to be humming today rather than Common. Wouldn’t object if someone else put this on but probably wouldn’t select it again myself. Will search out more Honey Cone though.

Absolutely love this album. Bought this as a teenager and listened to it constantly. Just a perfect album.

There's a couple of great tracks on this but I don't love the album overall.
