1001 Albums Summary

This is the kind of album that makes me wish I had a vinyl record player. Also, probably more on the swing side than blues but the band properly gets down in How Can You Get. .... i really need to begin a vinyl collection

Kind of suprised to find this here ...i think its okay...An Ocean Between the Waves has a vibe..but that's about it. I hear the album and I think groups like Beach House does this so much better.

Now this is whiy I enjoy this project.. never would have thought twic e about this record...when I heard I realise what a blockbuster it was..also I didnt relaise that Private Dancer was written By Mark Knopfler.. dude could have retired from the royalities of that alone. Respect

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but i always preferred Harvest Moon..this is really good and the pastoral imagery is beautiful. But A Man Needs a Maid is a just a horrid song.

A stong funk and soul stew right here... i love the relativey quiter moments like Somebody's Watching you because the melodies are sharper. The rest is okay but doesnt hit me as hard.

Still holds strong all these...for me it is all about Tre Cool's drumming, which acts like a another...thunderous and ryhtmic

I think Adele's music has been too in my face for me to really enjoy this fully. Songs are good and voice is amazing..but when I still here Rollin in Deep I think of bad coffee shops. I think i will fully respect this in another 10 years.

A cool discovery...I found it a bit too chaotic at times. And all the sampling and layers made me think if this album inspired the likes of The Avalanches.

This is just great..Ray Charles is one those artists whose catalouge is so big I dont know where to start and this is a great entry.. i didnt realise how country this is also - so this for me is the real " Cowboy Carter", I Can't Stop Lovig You is gorgeous
