1001 Albums Summary

+ good album overall + clean guitar parts, good vocals (liked Jim's voice especially on calmer songs like crystal ships) + liked the organ solo in Take It as It Comes - sometimes a bit heavy on either organ, cymbals or vibrato without complementing the other instruments very well - don't like his (presumably intentional) flat singing in Alabama song

+ songs are very good individually + unique with interesting composition + Jazz and Blues elements merge very well with the Rock style on some songs + crisp vocals - not very good as an album - entire album feels "disconnected" thematically and stylistically, like a random collection of songs

Took generic pop and somehow made it worse

Some absolutely incredible songs, could have done without a few of the filler tracks.

Nothing exceptional, but good music.

Don't like his vocals, instrumentals aren't anything exceptional for the most part. Satellite of Love and Perfect Day redeem it a little.

80s music in the late 70s. Visionary and influential, you can definitely hear where Duran Duran got their inspiration. Great album.
