- Was really only familiar with What’s Going On, didn’t realize that this opener was a leading idea for the entire album - What a vibe, what a transport back in time to a moment in US history - Made me sad that we are still trying to solve all these same problems today, felt timeless in this plea - Jazz flute! - “Who really cares? Who’s willing try to save a world that’s destined to die?” -love that this can be interpreted as a call to action and throwing hands up in resignation - Surprised at how overtly religious the album is - continuous transitions between tracks makes it extra groovy - ran out of time to finish - Doesnt grab me sonically, but appreciate it for it’s thesis of love at a time where it was sorely needed!
