1. Come Together-Lives up to its reputation, peak bass line, drums and guitar. Lyrics are in their most psychedelic glory. I do really mean it when I say Lennon>Mccartney 8.7/10 2. Something-This is where George cemented his status as the best songwriter in the Beatles(even if John and Paul didnt recognise this) beautiful song with some heavenly guitar and vocals 9.2/10 3. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer-Paul what the fuck is this, no, just no. 5/10 4. Oh Darling-This is how Paul redeemed himself for the travesty that was Maxwell. I think John could have sung it better but Paul did an excellent job. Definitely one of the better songs not just on this album but on The Beatles entire discography. 8.5/10 5. Octopus Garden-Ringo being Ringo, i love it. Sometimes it’s needed to take a little break and sing an upbeat song about octopuses. But I would add that it may be silly, but still unironically a banger 9/10 6. I want you(she’s so heavy)-Enthralling, I just couldn’t stop listening. One of the longest Beatles songs(behind Hey Jude and Revolution 9) and unlike those other two it earns every second 8.3/10 7. Here Comes The Sun-Harrison is the goat, this song is The Beatles 9.5/10 8. Because-Heavenly, transcendent, what more can I say. Whenever I listen to this is feels like I'm being elevated to a higher sense of consciousness 8.5/10 9. You never give me your money- Kicks off the Long One and starts it with a bang. The guitar solo is amazing 8.6/10 10. Sun King-Very similar to Because but just does everything very slightly worse. Still good tho 8.2/10 11. Mean Mr Mustard-Fine, but seems out of place in this album 7.7/10 12. Polythene Pam- Same as Mean Mr Mustard 7.7/10 13. She came in through the Bathroom Window-Solid track, by no means a standout but it’s good. I never listen to it when I’m not listening to the album as a whole 8.0/10 14. Golden Slumbers-One of the best on the album, absolutely heavenly, ascending. I can’t put it into words 9.2/10 15. Carry That Weight-Amazing transition from Golden Slumbers into this. And good harmonies from the Beatles(but if there is one thing they can do it’s harmonise). 8.4/10 16. The End-Perfect end to the Beatles discography. Basically a whole band jam session and it’s really fun. 8.9/10 17. Her Majesty-This song is fine but it takes away from the ending in The End and is just too short. Should have been kept off the album and just released in the deluxe version in the anthology or something. 7.9/10
