Not my first time listening to this. Amazing album to say the least. Incredible production and equally brilliant songwriting. Perfect balance between gloom and normalcy(there ain't happiness in a Radiohead track)

The Beatles are a band who are impossible to ignore. Whatever we listen to today has it's roots in the music of the Beatles(who in turn were inspired by blues and rnb musicians who predate them). Listening to Sgt Pepper's for the nth time today, I was intrigued to recognize musical parts that I have missed before. The Beatles truly acted as a collective unit. Ethan Hawke is right. There is no favorite Beatle.

As a guitar player myself, Mark Knopfler has always been someone I look up to. The glassy guitar sound treads confidently in both the worlds of blues and funk. The no pick policy definitely gives it much more character. Such a great sounding record overall. Songwriting also has a mystery to it. Enjoyable!
