Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Feb 16 2026

Having only ever listened to a handful of Talking Heads tracks before listening to this album, I was looking forward to diving deeper into their discography and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Psycho Killer is obviously great (being one of two tracks I’d heard before off this album along with Uh-Oh, Love Comes to Town). Having listened to ‘77’ in its entirety I would say Psycho Killer is still my favourite track on here, but No Compassion was really enjoyable as well. The Book I Read had a nice, catchy riff to it and I just wish Who Is It? was a bit longer. Overall though for my first Talking Heads album it was a really enjoyable way to start the 1001!

Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes
Feb 17 2026

Well it’s safe to say this wasn’t what I expected from The White Stripes, but I really enjoyed it! There were some really catchy tunes on this album that kept me pretty hooked from start to finish. Only slight downside for me was the excessive ‘crashing’ from Meg on The Nurse. The diversity on this album was a pleasant surprise that kept me engaged with it during my drive in to work this morning!

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Feb 18 2026

Not my favourite to be honest. Had a couple of songs that grabbed my attention a bit, but I can’t say I was a massive fan of the vocals. Maybe listening again would change my opinion a bit and I definitely would listen again, I’m just not in a massive hurry to do so.

Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin
Feb 19 2026

Definitely the Zeppelin album I’ve listened to the least previously. It’s not my favourite by then, for sure, but it’s still great. I think there maybe 2/3 that I would give a 5/5, but this just didn’t quite do enough for me.

Feb 20 2026

Knew what I was rating this one before listening. Oasis’ best album imo and full of some of their best songs. If you can get past some of the questionable lyricism (especially on Some Might Say) then there’s really nothing going on against ‘Morning Glory. Champagne Supernova as the final track is peak.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman

Enjoyable from start to finish. Was impressed with the consistency throughout.
