1001 Albums Summary

I've already listened to this album, but it has been a while since I gave it a listen. I've grown up listening to punk rock and electronic music, so hearing artists like Marvin Gaye felt like a whole new world. This album makes me feel I'm sitting next to the fireplace, cuddled up with someone special, just enjoying each other's company and presence. The melodies and the vocal performances always amaze me with how complex they seem, and how it almost seems like they freestyled the entire album. Marvin Gaye will always be one of the greatest artists of all time to me, and this album definitely helped me expand my small music taste at the time. Rest in peace

Based on my first listen, this was a very good album. I grew up listening to punk from my dad, so listening to this album reminded me of when I was a kid listening to my dad's music in the car. There really wasn't a dull moment in this album, and even tho this isn't the type of music I currently listen to, I very much enjoyed each song. It does get slightly repetitive over time, but it's not too overbearing. This album may have opened the doors for me when it comes to punk rock. Hate to say it, but sometimes my dad can be right.
