1001 Albums Summary

For me as a kid, this album WAS Green Day. I listened to it for the first time at Shaw McNeils house across the street because his dad owned it. My naive self had no idea what some of that stuff meant but I knew I liked it. I'm happy to have this as the first album generated.

I had heard of the band but wasn't familiar with them. This felt very groovy and glam. I feel like this might have been popular with fans of David Bowie as well.

Feels like poetry being recited to a beat in some cases. The lyrics are pretty progressive and counter cultural. Overall, not super engaging but I can see the appeal for others
