Alright this one's short, lets go.
1. I guess not terrible.
2. I'm not gonna lie. I don't hate this.
3. Okay, this is the famous one. Not my favourite song to hear on the radio, usually always skip to another station. But it's not too bad I guess.
4. okay how could they DO THIS TO ME??!!! they were doing so good, I was rooting for you WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU HOW DARE YOU!!!! This is not a good song.
5. godDAMMITTTTT. This one's not good either.
6. I couldn't even get through this one.
7. Shame, i dont like this one either.
8. Oh my god this is the fast times at ridgemont high song! It's pretty fun. I LOVE PHOEBE CATES!!!!!!!!
9. Nah, this one's not good.
This album was so close to actually being good. Just realized its from 1978. It does NOT sounds like a 70s album, it sounds straight from 1985, very ahead of its time i guess. I really like the vocals, better than any 70s vocal i've heard so far, excluding fleetwood mac. But anyways, it was close, real close, but no cigar. But this is the first album i listened to all the way through! I consider that a win. I wish i could give this a 2.5.

Portishead
1/5
1. Okay, kinda weird. Sort of trippy. Of course it's the 90s. I don't know if I love this kind of music, a little too hypnotic for me. I get a little annoyed sometimes hearing a woman's voice whispering and singing so softly. A lot of flourishes, don't know if I love that either. Yeah too dreamy for me.
2. Okay pretty much exactly the same as the last one. Too dark, too dreamy, too many flourishes, portishead singing quietly. IDK if that's her name or if it's a band, I don't really care enough to look it up.
3. Okay, finally something different. Kinda sounds like a hospital heart monitor. And now we're back to portishead whisper singing with no clear melody. Okay the beat drop was good. Kind of gives me like y2k dark action movie soundtrack.
4. Okay, this is the worst one so far. so boring.
Okay, god forgive me but I'm giving up. If I didn't like the first 5 songs I highly doubt ill like the rest of them. I like glorybox because ive heard it before and its kinda catchy and a little sexy but i dont even think of it as such a great song anyways even though i like it. Im giving up. mY BAD.
Sam Cooke
2/5
1. Okay, it's catchy. Nice voice.
2. Okay, catchy again. Not as fun as the last one.
3. yeah yeah it's good but, whatever.
4. Yeah, I don't know, I'm bored.
5.Okay, again, catchy but boring to me.
Once again, god forgive me but I'm giving up. It's just not my thing. It started off strong but there's really nothing for me here.
The Allman Brothers Band
1/5
1. Okay, not really my kind of music. Okay, i'm so sorry but i'm bored. Yeah on the description it says it's just rock but I looked it up and it does have blues elements which are....................................not my thing unfortunately. I just cant listen to men sing absolutely incomprehensible lyrics with a 10 minute guitar solo after every verse.
2. I don't know what it is about the 70s but i've never really liked them, I don't know why. I mean it's not that I don't like the 70s but I just feel like the 70s were like the 60s but a little more mellow and like the 80s except a little less refined. I like some 70s music but not because it's from the decade, because I like the bands themselves, regardless of the decade, unlike 80s and 90s and even 50s music that has a specific sound that i've always liked, but I just hate men with long hair and moustaches growling. I'm so sorry.
3. Yeah no I hate this. And it's 8 minutes long. Oh my god the next song is 19 minutes long, im so sorry i cant do this.
4. Okay I decided to do it and ill be honest this is maybe one of the better songs that ive heard? But it's still not my thing. Why is this song 19 minutes long? Oh my god it's just guitar, it's just 19 minutes of electric guitar. Jesus Christ.
God forgive me ONCE AGAIN, but absolutely not.
Derek & The Dominos
2/5
1. Okay here we go. TBH i find eric clapton annoying, I have NO idea why, maybe that's somebody else's opinion that I stole years ago and never questioned I DON'T KNOW. I just don't think that he should be in a rock band. Also I always thingk Layla is Lola by the kinks? i think? and i DO NOT LIKE LOLA! So I've always disliked layla unfortunately because of the similarity in the name. I'm a moron i know. Anyways, this first song isn't too bad I guess. I don't think ive ever heard of derek and the dominos, for some reason i though they were like a jazz band from the 50s or something? I guess this first song wasn't terrible but nothing special to me.
2. Also, as I said before, I don't love the 70s. Okay I just looked up a photo of eric clapton in 1970 with short hair and clean shaven and he was a cutie pie. Clapton REDEEMED. The song's alright. Okay I actually like the melody in the chorus.
3. Okay, off to a good start, did aerosmith kind of rip this off? Okay now they've lost me. A little to jumpy for the intro. I'm a little bored SORRY.
4. Okay, had to give up on the last one a little prematurely because they kept doing the same thing over and over again unfortunately I didn't even like it the first time. This one's not bad though, off to a good bluesy start. The little guitar riff is a giving somewhere by the beatles JUST A TINY BIT DON'T LIE YOU HEARD IT TOO. And then the endless guitar solos with no discernible melody. Great.
13. okay, i'm not having fun so i've skipped straight to layla, here goes. okay i definitely recognize this riff. Okay i've heard enough though. I'm done. Thank you.
Electric Light Orchestra
3/5
1. Okay here we go, this album has 17 songs, idk if i'll bother getting to all of them, we'll see. This first one's okay. Catchy, OH I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE SOMEWHERE. I don't love it. It's just catchy that's it.
2. Okay, all of this is obviously very disco, and I live for disco, but it's not really getting out of the catchy level, it's not reaching further. I don't love this one.
3. Okay this one's pretty catchy, pretty 60s.
4. bored
5.Very catchy, much better than the last one, but im getting bored of the album GOD HELP ME maybe im just not a music fan in general. But i'm gonna give this one a few more chances.
6. okay im bored with this one im skipping it.
7. meh.
13. Okay i skipped straight to mr. blue sky which is a classic and could wake me up from the grave. I've loved this song for maybe 8 years. So beautiful, so much energy, beautiful melody, inspiring but also a tiny bit meloncholic in the bridge with the guitar solo, WHAT A FUCKING INCREDIBLE SOLO, an incredible piece of music that lives in my heart i think about it all the time. That tiny little note that goes up ( i dont know how to explain it) lives with me till the day i die, so earnest, like someone getting down on their hands in knees and putting your hands in theirs and begging you for love but instead of rejecting them you love them too, or maybe you're the one begging, all of this coinciding perfectly with such a danceable melody and beat. It's incredible, the whole lame album is worth that tiny guitar solo. Life changing. One of the pieces of music that stands out above literally everything else i've ever heard in my whole life. The whole album isn't really worth the 3 but those six seconds make it worthy I think.
The Notorious B.I.G.
2/5
1. Intro: Okay wow, this is cool, this is so interesting, i kind of dig it.
2. Really catchy, but once again, maybe not really my thing. The first album if have to read the lyrics along with listening to the song. The lyrics are interesting.
3. UGGGH IM SORRYYYY, it started off good but i get bored easily SUE MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. All the songs just sound the same I DONT KNOWWWWWWWWW. Gangsta rap just isn't my thing either.
4. Just not a very discernible melody I KNOWWWWW THAT'S THE GENRE IM NOT SAYING IT'S WRONG, it really just doesn't reach me.
5. Yeah every single song sounds exactly the same just with different lyrics.
Sorry. Gets a 2 for the cool intro.
50 Cent
2/5
1. alright folks, here we go.
2. Okay, catchy, once again, not my genre, but it's not too bad.
3. I really don't even know what to say. This is so clearly not anything that i will be able to connect to or appreciate. This is not my kind of music, you could make a good point saying that i should broaden my horizon but 'you can't go forcing something if it's just not right'.
4. Every single one of these songs sounds the same. Okay this intro is different though. WAIT I actually like this one. wait it lost me again. It's catchy i must admit. Wait it definitely hasnt lost me. This one's good.
5. Okay this one's such a classic, i know fuck all about 50 cent but i know this song, everyone does, it's so catchy.
6. idk just forgettable. This whole album is a little forgettable.
7. Yeah this sin't my thing. im giving up GOD PLEASE BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY IM SORRYYYYYYYYY BUT THEre's just no reason for me to keep wasting time on something that I know I won't want to listen to ever again, even if there is som ehidden gem in one of these albums that im missing out on them, but I'm just not willing to put a lot of effort into finding it with nothing but faith on my side, it's just not worth it to me. my bad.
Pixies
2/5
1. Okay this is literally my kind of music, my kind of genre so if I don't like it then we know it's my fault. This song ended up being forgettable. My bad.
2. Forgettable. Sorry not a lot to say about this one. The bones of the album are definitely up my alley, but it doesn't stick the landing for me. just a lot of noise.
3. Oooh something different. I feel like im at the beach. Nevermind.
4. Yeah whatever.
5. no
6. i like this one. nevermind.
7. Okay, well i stuck around until this one because this is obviously their best one. Funny how one-hit wonders usually live up to their name. It's not like one hit wonders usually have cult followings that live for their deep cuts, no, one-hit wonders are one-hit wonders for a reason, they're only able to catch lightning in a bottle one time. Some artists are blessed by the heavens, they get touched by god many times through their lives, others are lucky they make contact at least once. All i have to say is that being a one hit wonder sounds depressing but you have to ask yourself if that's really worse than being a no hit wonder.
(oh, the song's great btw, scary, nefarious, dark, catchy, like you're being confronted by the pixies themselves, the guitar solo after the second chorus is genius, it crescendos perfectly, a tiny moment of levity before they start confronting you again, the little fish line is so juvenile and sweet but the melody on top makes it sound scary. so good, never heard a lyric like that too.)
Anyways im giving up. Hopefully one of these days ill actually find an album i like enough to finish. There's still time and i happen to be a woman of endless faith.
The Incredible String Band
1/5
1. Have absolutely no idea what to expect from this. I'm in such a bad spot to be honest. My life is going so horribly, as always really. It's 100% my fault btw. I'm a pathological idiot. And this song is not really making me feel any better. Okay i actually hate this song.
2. Jesus christ, this is not okay.
3. No.
Okay, maybe it's because i'm in a bad mood, as i mentioned before, but this fucking album is pissing me off. I don't wanna be such a hater but does this actually count as music? And song number 4 is exactly 13 minutes long so I'm giving up. Sorry.
The Beach Boys
2/5
1. okay i'm in a better mood today, even though the existential dread of my future chronically hangs over me, but i'm feeling a little less feral about it today. I like the beach boys, at least the few songs that i've heard from pet sounds. This first song is not really wowing me though.
2. It's a shame cuz this is also my kind of music and a genre i like, but.............a little trite. Obviously they pretty much invented this kind of sound, but it's trite now IM SORRY.
3. Never heard a song about grown men defending their little sister.
4. I literally have absolutely nothing to say about this song. In one ear and out the other.
5. Catchy, i guess.
6. Alright folks, I think this is the last one for me today. Sorry y'all. Nothing for me here.
Alice Cooper
1/5
1. Okay i've heard this song before, it's alright. I think I heard in dazed and confused maybe? That's what I associate it with. It's alright.
2. I just heard it and I COULD NOT be able to pick it out of a line-up, absolutely zero defining melody, lyric, or moment. I've already forgotten what it sounds like.
3. Sorry, had to skip this one.
4. Wow. oKAY. nothing.
5. I do not love a saxaphone in the middle of a rock album. It just sounds wrong.
9. I skipped all the way to grande finale because it sounds cool. And I was right JUST KIDDING this sucks. It's just noise im sorry I can't.
Fleetwood Mac
4/5
1. okay this is what im fucking talking about. Fleetwood mac's rumors. Fuckin A. I love and adore stevie nicks, she was a beautiful feminine witch with a powerful and demanding presence. Some of my favourite songs are on this album and i'm listening to the super deluxe version cuz this one has silver springs on it. This first song is alright. Not my favourite. Catchy, but whatever, not a great way to start an album tbh.
2. Okkaaayyyyyy FUCKING DREAMS FUCK YEAH. Very slow, very evocative. Stevie gets to shine, the way it should always be. 'Players only love you when they're playing', a lyric so timeless and poignant that it literally transcends any decade or generation, it could've easily been written today. Sooooo ahead of it's time.
3. one of my favourites on the album. Beautiful folk song. Lindsey sounds like a girl. From what I understand that's lindsey playing one guitar but making it sounds like two, genius. Hard to say if its a sad song or a happy song. To me it's sort of restless, like the melody reminds you of how good you had it back there but the lyrics remind you that you're desperate to leave. Those little sharp notes on the guitar are so pretty, and lindsey's voice is also a little sharp and choppy but in a good way. the song goes fast and it's simple and it reminds me of being back home in south. Even though i've never been to the south. "You don't know what it means to win" is a lyric that doesn't have a lot of backbone but because the guitar gets lower during the second verse and because lindsey sings it with a lot pathos it makes it sound very confrontational. Beautiful.
4. Then followed by don't stop. Okay i'll be honest with you, so so catchy but not their best song. It's the song that they use to sell cars and for good reason, it's their most obvious mainstream catchy jingle song. Not a lot going on with this one, but very sweet melody and to be COMPLETELY FAIR, the lyrics, while somewhat cheesy, are very uplifting and do put some wind in my sails. The dead stop right at 2:15 is the best part.
5. Okay this one's not my favourite either IM SO SORRYYYYYYYY. I know the whole story behind it and how lindsey and stevie were fighting blah blah blah it just doesn't really blow me away, but lindsey sounds like a girl on this one which i do like.
6. Okay, I don't think i've ever heard this one before. This doesn't sound like stevie or lindsey, im guessing its christy? Okay i just looked it up and im right. It's nice i guess. nothing stands out.
7. Okay we're talking about the fuckING CHAIN BABY. Fucking genius, brilliant, totally and completely unique. a folk rock song in the middle of a soft rock album from 1977 that could be the background of every single climax in a superhero movie from the last 40 years. That's the power of the song. Just goes to show, you don't need to scream, you dont need anything loud or percussive, this song is so melodic and has so many little romantic flourishes but it is so powerful and angry and has so much fucking energy. The harmonies in the choruses are the best, lindsey and stevie at their best. The intro is legendary, it keeps you so invested, the music is telling a story with an obvious introduction, tension and a climax. Adding another line in the second verse after 'damn your love damn your lies' is BRILLIANT, "damn the dark damn the light" is BRILLIANT I LOOOOVVVVEEEE ITTTTT.
8. Don't think i've ever heard this one either. Another Christy one, I LIKE IT, I really like the chorus, really pretty. Im gonna listen to this again later.
9. Okay, once again, unfortunately even fleetwood mac can't escape 70s corniness. This song is corny, BUT I STILL LIKE IT I SWEAR, i just dont think its a great song, but it is sweet and fun, but in a sitcom theme song kind of way.
10. I don't think i've ever heard this one either! hmm not my favourite, kinda slow. Sorry christy, but you're just not what im here for.
11. Once again, like they did with the chain, nothing is outwardly aggressive, but its one of the angriest songs on the album. It sounds like stevie's confronting you and the music is backing her up with this relentless and devastating confrontation. The banjo being so simple and the guitars being so slow makes everything seem more dangerous?? Does that make sense? Once again stevie used her witch powers to let us KNOW, no one has to yell or scream, and the song can go slow, but it's fucking scary and aggressive. Like the vibrations you feel before an earthquake. So good.
12. Alright folks. we saved the best for last. Cannot BELIEVE that this was only worth a b-side. This is their defining song. Easily my favourite song of theirs. I have no idea what to say about this song. One of my favourite songs of all time, literally. Lets put the drama aside and just focus on the song. Unlike the other songs, stevie sings this with a lot of vulnerability. First of all, the melody is beautiful, its my favourite. Hard to explain why. So unabashedly melodic and high and pretty and emotional. Then the hexx, holy shit. Stevie put a curse in a song and sang it a million times to lindsey. 'give me just a chance, you'll never get away from the sounds of the woman that loves you'. And then she gets desperate and angry at the very end. Incredible to listen to a woman sing so desperately while also being the most powerful one in the room. Perfect combination of feelings and melody and emotion.
13. okAY IM SO SORRY but now i have to talk about the live version from 97. Stevie sings it a lot lower, obviosuly, cuz it's 20 years later and she's much older. But it's better. It's later, they're old, but they're BETTER. Incredible. This is the definitive version for me. It adds like three different layers from the recording. Extra little piano notes, extra little wind chime sounds, extra layers of harmonies, it makes everything feel bigger. Stevie sings this with the maturity of an older woman, which means that she's pretty reserved for the first two verses and chorus. But then we get to the climax. Jesus christ. oNE OF MY FAVOURITE Pieces of music ever. Now it's a chant, not a harmony or just stevie singing. Not only is she hexxing him but she has an entire chorus hexxing him with her. She is singing deep into lindsey's soul and singing with the fire of a thousand suns. The little dip in the first 'you'll never get a-way-ey from the sound of the woman that loves you' is easily in my top 3 favourite moments in any song i've ever heard. It makes me want to fall in love and have my heart broken but be soul bound to my evil ex-boyfriend because we'll never be able to let go of each other. A 6 second piece of music that belongs in the conversation of greatest human discoveries along with fire and the wheel. Stevie and lindsey pulled this out of thin air and made me understand love and sorrow like i'd lived it myself. I cant thank them enough.
The Charlatans
2/5
1. Never heard of any of this at all. Okay, we're off too a good start. Okay this is an oasis knock off god bless but we know who did it better.I mean i like it, but only cuz it sounds like oasis. Is this what all rock bands from the uk sounded like in the 90s? I have no idea.
2. yeah, this one's nice.
3. this one's nice too
4. Yeah i'm sorry but i'd rather just be listening to oasis.
5. God forgive me but i think im just gonna give up and go listen to oasis.
1/5
1. Okay, here we go. It's a little too late in the night to do this but, nevertheless, she persevered. This first one is not great.
2. Nope.
3. no.
4. nah.
5. No, this is nothing. I always knew oasis was better.
The Cars
2/5
Alright this one's short, lets go.
1. I guess not terrible.
2. I'm not gonna lie. I don't hate this.
3. Okay, this is the famous one. Not my favourite song to hear on the radio, usually always skip to another station. But it's not too bad I guess.

Lana Del Rey
3/5
1. okay, ive always liked lana del rey but never done a deep dive. just a few songs here and there. here we go. Okay this is a bit of a regina spektor tori amos vibe. It's alright.
2. sounds exactly like the last one
3. Yeah she really zeroed in on a specific kind of music and tone and voice, and, um, never really branched out at all. Not that she has to. But some of those earlier songs had so many flourishes, great lyrics, a little more energy i think. Maybe im wrong. These songs just sound the same.
4. Could not differentiate from anything else even if i wanted to.
5. Okay this one's good! It has personality.
6. Okay hell yeah, this one's really good too.
7. This one's good too. Sort of more sentimental, which i like.
8. Okay, back to not very good. Im gonna skip this one.
9. no, not good.
Alright im giving up honestly. IM ALLOWED TO BECAUSE IT'S MY TIME THAT I CAN SPEND HOWEVER I WANT.
Foo Fighters
1/5
Okay, there's something about the foo fighters that i distinctly don't like. i don't know what it is, I don't really know why. I'm so ready to be done with this but im gonna give it a couple of chances and listen to a coouple of songs.
1. Lame, noise. I don't think dave grohl is such an interesting singer, his voice is forgettable.
2. noise noise noise
3. Okay this one is kind of like a bit of beatles thing? It's not terrible. okay, they've bought themselves one more song.
4. ugh, just noise again.
Im giving up, i hate this band. The blonde drummer was hot but thats the only saving grace SORRRRYYYYY
