the truth is that i'm just not a crazy huge beatles fan. SORRY. pleasant to listen to but not an album i'd seek out. lovely rita was my favorite

fun album! great instrumentals, loved the use of unique instruments to create some great sounds. big fan of the instrumental tracks, particularly let's go away for a while. i'm challenging myself to listen to these albums in the context of when they were released, pet sounds is definitely one of those watershed albums in rock. i can see how it inspired a lot of future experimentation. i don't think it's an album i'd listen to on my own but it's got some gems on it and if i was a stoner in the 60's this would blow my MIND lol

i'm way behind so i'm not gonna write a full review for this one- shoutout to billy joel. great music. get it right the first time was my fav on this one

very strong debut album, lots of bangers on here. great launchpad for the rest of the doors' discography- rating just once again boils down to the fact that a lot of these songs aren't what i'd listen to on the regular. "the end" was my favorite
