There were some moments I liked, however I probably won't replay it. The screeching of the harmonica was a bit too much in certain places. Overall it's a boring album, though it would be tolerable as background music.
I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. This is really good. Sunday Morning is beautiful, it has a gorgeous melody. I'm not the biggest fan of spoken word, but it kind of works on this record. The abrasive, screeching parts weren't pleasant to listen to, though.
Very catchy and energetic. This album is just fun to listen to, I enjoyed it much more than I expected. Sixteen has some weird lyrics, however the beat is so good that it makes me forget how creepy it is. Neighborhood Threat and Tonight are two of my other favourite tracks. All bangers throughout.
I was debating whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. Maybe I would rate it 3.5 stars, but I'm not going to round up, it just doesn't fit with the albums I give 4 stars.
If I consider the album's purpose, which is angry music for angry teens, it serves that role very well.
From a more critical perspective, it just doesn't have much depth. It's a fun and enjoyable listen, though a bit one-dimensional.
It's still an album that has reached legendary status.
This album slaps. The opening riff on Supernaut is amazing.
This wasn't a very pleasant listen. I still hate spoken word. There's some parts I like, even more parts I really dislike. This just isn't an album I would listen to for fun. It didn't catch my attention at all.
Nice listen. The funky bass is great. I couldn't really pick out any favourite moments, nothing really stood out after listening once. I suppose it can get a bit repetitive at times. But it's really pleasant, I might listen to this again sometime.
Solid album, not something I would typically listen to, but I appreciate this. It's fun.
This is an album that drags on a bit too long. The lyrics aren't very complex, and none of the songs really stood out to me, they all sound very similar. The instrumentals and the vocals are good, but overall it didn't do anything for me after the first listen.
It's alright. I've yet to listen to his other albums, so I'll see... Maybe I'll find out why it's absolutely necessary to include five albums on the list.
I wasn't completely unfamiliar with this album, I've heard one track before, so I knew what to expect. However I've never really listened to the genre. I feel like I don't really get jazz yet, I can't rate this any higher. For me, jazz is dinner music, just something that quietly plays in the background. I can't imagine listening to it with my undivided attention. Overall, it was a nice listen.
It's alright... R&B isn't my style, but I liked some of this, it was enjoyable, and I wasn't just waiting for it to end. I was familiar with quite a few of the songs, and now that I've listened to the album in its entirety, it's just what I expected.
