1001 Albums Summary

I was never a huge Iron Maiden fan but I did like a free off there songs two of which are on their album. Number of the Breast and Run to the Hills. I’m guessing probably two of their more popular songs so no surprise. Bruce Dickerson has a voice that was made for Metal and those screams are powerful. I think the drummer is fantastic. Enjoyed the album for the most part but skipped through a few songs after a couple minutes.

I saw steely Dan was next and dreaded having to listen. I have no idea why some people love this band. Dirty Work was ok and reminds me of being a kid listening to the radio in the back seat of the Oldsmobile. I thought I would be ok with Reeling in the years but ended up skipping half way through. The riff in the beginning is pretty decent. Maybe I’ll dine it another shot in 20 more years. Pass

Really enjoyed going back and listening to this album. Chrissie Hynde has such a unique and amazing voice with a great delivery. A punky edge probably influenced by her acquaintance with Steve Jones(sex pistols). My 13 yo son couldn’t believe it was so old haha
