1001 Albums Summary

It's not my favorite sound, but I can understand why it's incredibly important and can hear the influence on modern pop. It reminds me a bit of Phil Collins or George Michael in sound? I do really enjoy his tone of voice and vocal range. It's also a really long album and I struggle to differentiate the tracks but the live versions were pretty incredible. It's a "not to my personal taste but can recognize the artistry" album for me.

Pleasant, enjoyable, nice voice, easy to listen to the entire album quickly without thinking. Great for outdoor reading vibes. Not extremely memorable to me.

I really like Kendrick but I'd actually never sat down and listened to this particular album as a whole. It is a really unique listening experience and a super cohesive album, although a bit interlude heavy for my taste.

Absolutely loved as I expected I would, wish it was longer than 30 minutes. Excited to listen on the beach all summer long, what a classic.

Enjoyed this a lot, felt it was really fun to go into work mode while listening and easy to focus to. Love the sound and voice on the album. I do think it starts really strong and kind of goes out on a whisper, but sometimes that is by design. 3.5 rounded up.

This one really grew on me a lot as I listened. Fun, punky, sounds like it's of a totally different era than when it was released. I don't think I'll seek it out again on my own but I really enjoyed listening through it.

A perfect album that I can't believe I've never listened to before. So moody, so sultry, so fun to listen to.
