1001 Albums Summary

I’d probably give it a 2.8 if given the chance. His writing and music in general definitely progressed massively with time. The album definitely has it stronger songs I personally liked John Wayne gacy jr, Chicago and the man of metropolis - but it also has a lot of weak points. Pretty mellow sound which can be vaguely repetitive or uninteresting in certain points. Also a side note but I don’t think this album cover matches the sound enough and don’t like it bc of that lol

3.9 Thrilled to get an album I know and know I’m going to like on my second day. Spellbound has never been as interesting to me as to be there most listened to song, especially when it’s followed by into the light, which I hadn’t listened to before and was the best on the album for me. I’ll always appreciate lead women in rock and punk. 🫶🏻

3.5/3.6 I can appreciate its sound! Very impressive that this was their debut album. Not quite the kind of thing I love at the moment but I’m sure there will be a time I enjoy it much more. Lions was the stand out song for me, ended the album beautifully.

2.2 Definitely not my thing, but it didn’t grate on my eardrums the way some country musics does. I can see why people would like, I just don’t! But you can’t fault talent and he can definitely write and can definitely sing.

3.7/3.8 Very cool sound! Had only heard psycho killer from them prior to this, will be listening to more of their stuff. Memories can wait was personal fave.

4.1/4.2 Banging Brit pop. Caught by the fuzz was my personal favourite.
