1001 Albums Summary

I don’t listen to a lot of rap but I enjoyed this. There were a couple lines that flowed really nicely and the beats where comforting. From what I was able to interpret this is mostly about the life in New York. I always worry that the themes aren’t really ment for me but there was a lot of him talking about the impressive things that he has done/will do. I don’t think that I would actively seek this out but I do enjoy the fact that I have listened to a proper rap album because Bizkit can’t be it. It does lose points for being homophobic and Sexist.

I liked this, I didn’t listen to the whole thing but it was comforting because it was something I could see my dad or Grace putting on. I think this is kinda the vibe I want to be able to reach for, calm and chill but still interesting rock music.

I liked this one. The first one on the track The Robots sounded very silly which made me immediately want to share this album with Grace. Later on in the track there were more sad beats that were mixed with happy beats I think this was able to work because the songs where actually very simple and had few lyrics. I did some research on this album and found that it was created to be the composer’s ideal music which was without emotion or message. I did not like this because I think that this is the opposite of what music is supposed to be but I also find it ironic because I was easily able to pick out emotions in his music.
