This was my first record recommendation on this journey, which is kind of silly because I listened to this record yesterday. Black Sabbath is my favorite band, and this is my second favorite record of theirs. This album has the crunchiest riffs outside of Master of Reality’s “Into the Void.” A standout on this record, regarding Iommi’s layering of monster riffs can be found in “Supernaut.” The ballad, “Changes”, was a nice break. This song went on to be covered by the late-great Charles Bradley, and I was fortunate enough to see him perform this before his passing. If this is how the list goes, I’m excited. What an excellent start. Cheers! Favorite track: “Snowblind.” Least Favorite track: N/A, all gas no brakes.
