Vol. 4 by Black Sabbath
Apr 11 2026

This was my first record recommendation on this journey, which is kind of silly because I listened to this record yesterday. Black Sabbath is my favorite band, and this is my second favorite record of theirs. This album has the crunchiest riffs outside of Master of Reality’s “Into the Void.” A standout on this record, regarding Iommi’s layering of monster riffs can be found in “Supernaut.” The ballad, “Changes”, was a nice break. This song went on to be covered by the late-great Charles Bradley, and I was fortunate enough to see him perform this before his passing. If this is how the list goes, I’m excited. What an excellent start. Cheers! Favorite track: “Snowblind.” Least Favorite track: N/A, all gas no brakes.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green

From the first horn blast of the first track, this album is a ripper. This definitely makes the cut for dinner party jams.

The first miss on this long journey. It just isn’t for me. I can appreciate it for what it is, but I won’t be revisiting this album any time soon.

I don’t think I’ve ever given this record a spin in its entirety before. I get how it made it on the list, but I doubt this is going into heavy rotation for me in the future.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Apr 15 2026

This was fun but too long, I also docked a star for the intro. I enjoyed the song with Method Man. That was my first time hearing that one and it’s a bop.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Apr 16 2026

This record doesn’t get the attention it deserves.

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades

Funky, but not for me.

Not to my taste but it was well done.
