1001 Albums Summary

I knew about half the songs. they have a mature tone. they know what they are doing. but I had trouble identifying with their voice.

I again heard a few songs I have sort of known. It's a very familiar feel but I cannot help feel that the era that has produced this music is truly over. It's essentially the product of a different culture that shares very little with today. This doesn't make it bad. This album brought a bit of anemoia even though I don't deem its era to be better than today overall

only one song I knew about. I understand why it was well received at its time. it must have been an engineering marvel and very fun to listen to. I can't relate to it that much today though

This one was gorgeous. I already knew and liked steely dan but I never focused on the band. this was a true win

David bowie turned out to be very different than what I expected. I listened to this album more than 5 times. I think I need to listen to it many more times to understand his approach. but his craft comes across.

This was surprisingly nice. It was a discovery for me. I'll have to listen to him again to form a real idea about the guy but I hear the craft. When I saw how many songs the album has, I thought it was a double feature. Turns out the songs were short. I'm so used to 20 minute songs.
