1001 Albums Summary

Bowie's magnum-opus on full display, loved everything the record had to offer. I usually zone out while I have music playing in the background when I'm doing stuff but I was locked in even if I was solving AP questions that are due in like 5 days. Favorite song was probably Lady Stardust even if I have every track on this album on my liked playlist now. If there was a decimal system (yes I know people frown upon it since it's essentially minimizing music to pointless optimizations), I'd give it like a 9.8. Thanks again to Bowie for blessing us with an album filled with glam and "flamboyancy" (at least that's the vibe I get from it), Rest in Peace.

Beautiful album, genuinely majestic. I had listened to this record before a bit haphazardly (I was half-assing it since someone recommended it to me and I wanted to be kind), but I regret it now that I got around to fully re-listening to it. If I had to give this album a decimal ranking, it'd be around the 8.8-9.3 range. My favorite song from this album is the closer: "Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires".

I don't have a lot to say about this album. My mom saw me listening to this while I was on my laptop and told me that Simon and Garfunkel reminded her of his late brother. My uncle was a pretty cool guy as far as my memory serves. All in all, even if this record is widely renowned (just like any other album on this website), it never really hit the right cord for me. My acquaintance went to this Simon & Garfunkel concert and he was the only teenager there; the rest were people above the age of 50. Decimal Rating: 6.8 Favorite Song: Old Friends
