1001 Albums Summary

Starts super strong with danceable beats and catchy hooks. Solid party/vibe album. All of these songs still hold up, despite being almost 20 years old. The last half of the album is unknown, but still solid. Has a bit more of a mellower vibe at times, which is good. I give it four out of five. A weak 4, but still af 4.

Sooooooooo gooooood. A touch haunting, it creates a seriously seductive mood. Low lights, low levels, perfect atmospheric sounds with great vocals. Should be 5 of 5, but I'm holding back on that for now. So a very strong 4 out of 5. the strongest 4 possible. Heck, I may upgrade to 5. The music is simple, often quiet, delicately layered instruments that cut through you conciousness with understated simplicity.

Open tracks don't hit for me. Too synth with high vocals. The words and music are blurry together. Four songs in, nothing to like. Not horrible, but not worth listening to. I want to skip a lot. Even the "hit" which is also th title track is blah.

Damn, starts out hot with some great samples; this feels legit good right off the bat. Track after track of baners. Sad I've missed out on this album for so long. I understand why Biggie is a legend. It just gets better and better. Smooth beats, smart lyrics, catchy hooks, it all feels right. This album is rap perfection.
