For me, this is a “sit down and listen” kind of album which demanded attention from the listener. There’s a lot of variety in instrumentation. A few sections felt a bit drawn out and where I lost interest, other parts were able to draw me back in. Not usually something I would listen to but enjoyed the immersive listening experience.
This felt quite flat to me, and I didn’t really connect with it. I think this was due to the melancholic feel, the lack of groove, and the simpler rhythmic choices than I’m used to. It’s not an album I will return to.
Felt as though it was designed to be listened to as a complete album, as opposed to individual tracks. There's so much detail to take in with the mix so a high-quality set of headphones is essential to an immersive listening experience. Felt cinematic, with the inclusion of sound effects, transitions, spoken segments, vocals, layering of instrumentation, stereo panning. Outside of my usual listening, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I appreciated the creative and clever production and how well put together it is.
The album has a soul and country feel, with a balance between groove and emotion. Overall, it is a well rounded and easy listen, i could revisit this again.
This album was pleasant but for me felt flat and didn't give me anything to be excited about. I can hear why people enjoy this album - storytelling and simple vocal without oversinging. Unfortunately I didn't connect with this.
Great background music, easy listening and smooth vibes! Didn't hit me enough to become a favourite but overall enjoyable!
Soulful, powerful and full of storytelling, poetry and raw emotion. While it's not my favourite project, I respect the skill that Nina brings throughout this album.
Very alternative and breaks away from traditional song structures. The album focuses heavily on mood and murky production with vocals sitting within the mix. I respect what they tried to do artistically but it doesn't quite connect with me.
Hard hitting rock album full of energy. The guitar work is a highlight, heavy on the riffs and guitar solos! Well put together album from start to finish, overall quality makes it a stand out. I'm not much of a rock fan but still really enjoyed listening to it.
Another great album from beginning to end and to be enjoyed as a whole album project. Another project that showcases how well of a songwriter and composer Paul McCartney is.
Starts off feeling quirky and silly but then I notice elements of disco, funk which makes it feel more engaging. Very much of the time with its rhythms and grooves.
