1001 Albums Summary

First song has very funky vibes, and is just a really fun listen and I think a great opener. I feel instantly pulled in. Second song, has kind of that jazz vibe. Talking mixed with some singing. I can see why they call Elvis a culture vulture. It sounds like the backing vocals are done by black women as well. Power of my Love sounds like exactly what I'd expect to hear on a Las Vegas strip. It's crazy how much influence Elvis had over the showtune sound, while taking so much from black culture.

I can see how some people would like it, it's personally not my cup of tea. It's very creative I'm sure, to my ears though it just sounds like a whole lot of pretentious noise.
