1001 Albums Summary

Listened through it. I’ve definitely heard the name of the album and the associated memes it’s inspired but for me it just sounded like normal pop. Maybe that’s why it’s so iconic… because it influenced so much stuff afterwards

I definitely liked the music and the heavy guitar sounds. I didn’t know this was the first real heavy metal album produced. I didn’t really dig the lyrics but the vibe was good.

Definitely a unique sound for its time. I feel like a ton of bands replicated it after the fact so it sounds pretty standard to me. The piano usage was pretty unique sounding with the guitar
