1001 Albums Summary

Early Beatles not really my thing. Something ive heard a million times before from a million different bands. Hindsight is unkind to their early work. 3/5

Title track is a classic, everything else is just kind of trying to be Green Onions 2. Handful of fun songs, but not my thing. Standouts: Green Onions, I Got A Woman, One Who Really Loves You, Comin' Home Baby

Certainly an influential record for those in the 90s alternative music scene as well as people inspired by it. From Nirvana to Olivia Rodrigo, the Pixies have left their mark across generations with their first few records. It's not quite what I'm after personally, but there's absolutely no denying the impact Doolittle's had, and while I may prefer to listen to one of the bands the Pixies had inspired, this one's still pretty goooooood. Standouts: Debaser, Wave of Mutilation, Gouge Away

Listened to this before, took a while to grow on me. Shit rips. Standouts: Ready or Not, Fu-Gee-La, Family Business, Killing Me Softly, No Woman, No Cry, Manifest / Outro.

Another Pixies record - I think I prefer this to Doolittle? Still not REALLY my thing, but this one is a bit weirder and I dig that. Standouts: Cecilia Ann, Velouria, Allison, Hang Wire

Liked this a lot - certainly outside of my normal type of music, but I definitely enjoyed this. Standouts: Alexander's Ragtime Band, Deed I Do, Tell Me You'll Wait For Me
