Was this album named 77 because it was published in 1977? I wonder! First couple tracks, Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town, and New Feeling, are good songs but nothing incredibly catching yet. Onto the third now, I like the lead singer's (David Byrne?) voice, it has been very distinct throughout the album so far. Just started the 4th track, Happy Day, and it might be my favourite so far. Who is it, the 5th track has just topped Happy Day. Now that I'm feeling more into this genre, I decided to re-listen to the first two tracks, and I enjoyed them a lot more this time around. Starting the 6th track now. I like the lyrics. Resonates a little? 7th song now. The Book I Read. Ooh I like this one more than some of the others. Maybe my second favourite so far? Or even the first. Yep. Okay, adding this one to my Disco Elysium playlist. Nothing super interesting to say about the next two songs, also kind of just forgot to write something. Onto the more well known track now, Psycho Killer! Yep it's catchy. Espoir = power Gloire = glory Last track now... Final thoughts, I'll probably rate this a 3? It was decent, and the crtique I have isn't anything substantial or super technical. I didn't enjoy some of the lyrics and repetitiveness but these are things you cannot judge too heavily when it comes to music, since they are all subjective elements of good music. Maybe just not my genre. Excited to start this 1001 album journey, I wish they gave you more albums per day but maybe I need to get into the habit of doing things for a short period consecutively.
