So by Peter Gabriel
Jul 07 2026

def an album of that time but the instruments are really nice and i like some of the songs. def a completely diff vibe than what i am used to. some songs i prob will never listen again but it feels like im in 1980 america, i get it actually. also, these songs are a lot longer than im used to, they have build up, fade out, introduction of instruments before vocals, very standard musical procedures songs i added to album: red rain

Blunderbuss by Jack White
Jul 08 2026

white sounds like a rock artist but in a very eclectic way which makes this listen a lot more interesting than I would've expected. im a fan of rock instrumentals so this wasn't grating to listen to but idt I can overcome that "made in the past" sound that this gives me. wait the drums in freedom at 21 perfectly itched my brain. and I'm such a fan of the piano chord progressions in the songs even if I'm not a fan of the songs as a whole. lyrics for some songs r a little weird but I haven't spent time analyzing. songs I added to playlist: hypocritical kiss, missing pieces

Parachutes by Coldplay
Jul 09 2026

this is actually a lot more popular than i expected when i saw this rec, i even recognized some of them which was surprising. honestly this is pretty timeless, i understand a bit of the hype and why u would cheat on ur partner to listen to them lol. but lwk it was def a lot slower, calmer, w not a lot of lyrics compared to the songs i usually listen to. i would have to really be in specific moods to listen. overall okay, a lot of the album didn't really catch my ear. songs ive added to my playlist: don't panic

Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel
Jul 10 2026

i didn't vibe w the first song at all and i think I just am not that good w super slow songs in general. argh I had to skip a lot of songs i wasn't a fan of feeling as tho I was in Midwest america in the 1950s even if it was made after that and even if they're from ny. I liked the "customer satisfied" song that was fun and the lyrics were silly. "The Boxer" also was fine. songs I added to my playlist: Keep the Customer Satisfied (but I may remove this if I don't enjoy it)
