R.E.M. finding their true sound for the first time, quite possibly their greatest album Stipe still sounds incomprehensible half the time though haha Favorite tracks: Finest Worksong Exhuming McCarthy It's The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) The One I Love Fireplace

Folk is one of my more dead spots in terms of music knowledge so this is kinda a first for me. The Latin American and African inspired instrumentation in spots really set this apart from what I know of Simon and Garfunkel. Pleasant surprise but my pool of reference is admittedly thin. Fav. 2000s teenage angst at it's biggest and loudest. Never been that crazy about concept albums/rock operas, and this doesn't move the dial for me. Some the band's strongest singles on this however, just a decent pop-punk record all around. Fav Songs: American Idiot Holiday Boulevard of Broken Dreams She's a Rebel Wake Me Up When September Ends

Snooze-fest throughout honestly. Just kinda forgettable outside of the major hits and overstays it's welcome by half an hour. Fav. Songs: Bitter Sweet Symphony The Drugs Don't Work
