some nice guitar licks, but not really my vibe
too many songs of I need therapy
bin grad nicht in der Stimmung =)
- Kirchensongs gekippt
not saying I could do any better xD
paar Abschnitte klangen ganz cool, aber nicht so sehr mein Geschmack
songs like happy feelin' are too maximalist for me I guess?
see the light schon wieder (dolle) Mario kart vibes?
bro warum so viele reine Männergruppen aus den 70ern?
Finds langweilig sorry
dachte erst endlich metal xD
that's one happy zombie
die Songlänge 💀
hätten lieber mal die Ärzte inkludieren sollen
das ist die deutsche rep? :,)
bin eh kein techno girl, finds schnell langweilig
I already knew I'm not into jazz
- maybe someday a jazz artist will suddenly capture me, but it wasn't today
might keep this in mind for a 50s themed krimi dinner tho
paar ganz nice parts aber nicht so meins insgesamt
just for me to keep track of my rating scale:
1 star > dislike / annoying to listen to
2 stars > didn't hate it, didn't like it
3 stars > I like it overall or maybe it has 1-2 songs I already have in / added to my playlist
4 stars > has several songs I added to my playlist
5 stars > has a special place in my heart (I NEVER liked all songs in any album so far so let's settle for this lol)
I enjoyed listening to some of it, actually forgot I was doing the challenge at some point but a lot of it also wasn't super memorable to me and some of it boring.
maybe they are too focused on amazing technique and "impressive" playing and kinda getting lost in that
or maybe I just don't get it
I skipped the last two remixes at the end, lowkey the first two I didn't even notice they were a remix. I was also dissociating a bit tho.
meh
excited gasp when this showed up UNEXPECTEDLY
none of my saved skunk anansie songs were in here, this album went a little over my head or I forgot listening through it?
I think I forgot
I think I preferred the album "stoosh" when I went through their stuff, but I'd have to relisten to remember
might listen again to
- tracy's flaw
there also appears to be an extended version of this album, which I might listen to
***
according to my rating scale, this is only ~3 stars but it seems a little low for how much I have enjoyed some of skunk anansie's stuff. They're kinda underrated.
Then again, I also gave Jeff Buckley only 3 stars bc I am considering the full albums and my personal taste.
I'm very happy skunk anansie are included in this list. Imo they should have picked a different album
sounds slightly annoying to me sorry:/
- edit: "she's so loose" was kinda enjoyable
- end tracks all less annoying, with some nice parts even
*
only 1.5 stars tho bc I wanted to skip a lot of songs and will likely not revisit
and since I just saw I got the critic badge lol:
my ratings generally primarily reflect my personal taste bc I want to discover what I enjoy
first of all, 82 minutes is a bit too long
also
brothers, sisters
45 years later, we still really don't need that fascist groove thang
"the height of the fighting" reminded me a little of ross playing his experimental song in friends xD
40 minutes in and I NEED A BREAK.
Allowing myself to move on
1.5 but I'm rounding down bc I didn't even manage to finish listening
it's just not for me
it's a good album but my fav AiC songs are scattered over other albums
3.5
I could drink some hot chocolate in a bar to this but I wouldn't go to a concert
lowkey started vibing to it slightly but not interested in listening again
2.5 rounding down
idk
allowing myself to move one after 40 minutes
2.5
nothing for my playlist but I do like some goth vibes so I can appreciate this
did I finish this tho? I don't remember lol
1.5
For some songs (first half of the album) I thought the singer's voice would fit a different type of music better maybe
love is only a feeling and friday night seemed more musically cohesive(?) to me, the voice fit really well in these
zoomed out at "givin' up" and "stuck in a rut"
overall I preferred the second half of the album, but I don't plan on revisiting this one
