I went into this album completly blind. You see I'm not an avid rap listener, I know close to nothing about that genre and I previously even claimed to not like it. Enter The Wu-Tang was the first rap album in my life that i listened to fully and oh It did not dissapoint me at all. It really is an amazing piece and I can see why It earned itself a place on this list. The beats blend seamlessly throughout the whole album creating a very integral base that is incredibly pleasant to listen to. While listening you can catch various jazz and electronica influences which reminded me a lot of Massive Attack, one of my favourite bands. The rap lines are very playful and conversation snippets add a very human quality to the whole piece, in the best sense of the word. These factors give the whole album a unique ambiant quality and a specific vibe that brought me much joy. I think the album as a whole is meant to be listened as a standalone piece, because the tracks compliment eachother perfectly. If I were to see myself listening to this album somewhere It would be in the cozy quiet of my own home after a tiring day, I feel like it could instantly improve my mood. The fourstar rating is entirely subjective, because rap is still not entirely my thing, but I loved it and I believe it is a must listen even for the sceptics.

I feel like this album is a culturally important piece, It sounds quite modern, considering It is from the 1980s. However, It did tire me a lot and I don't think I will be giving It a relisten.

Prog rock at it's finest. It makes me want to listen to it again and again to hopefully one day grasp it's story. I love it, 4.5 from me, but I'm giving it a 5, cause screw the guy who said that the flutes were bad, they're amazing.

I'm not a big fan of the genre but it's undoubtedly a classic. I'd give it 3 stars based on my personal opinion, but I feel like this piece is very important where it needs to be and it would be unfair.
