My first album I was given for this project! I am so excited for this <3. I am not sure how exactly I am going to do these reviews but here I go. I am going to try and do track by track, but maybe some days I will just do album overall review. I have always heard of how legendary Pink Floyd is, but in all honesty I have never listened to a complete one of their albums completely. So here let us see. Post album first listen thoughts- this was an experience for sure. my favorite is Wish You Were Here hands down, but everything was so pleasant and interesting to listen to! I am so excited to go down this rabbit hole heh. albums like this one are an experience for sure, not just one hit wonders. gah Track 1- "Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 1-5"- 13 minute song hello! This is very interesting sounding, I do not get the hype though. Wow 8 minutes for any singing to happen. Wow! is that saxophone in the last two minutes?? wowow!! amazing!! Track 2- "Welcome to the Machine"- i lovee the soft strung guitar on this one! but still paired with the really baring what is that strings? really interesting whoo and the space-psychedlics? wowowow so cool. I like this one. does the machine represent real life? reality away from expectations? overall the whole album the sound is so spaced out yet every second has very meaningful placements going on. how cool is that! Car door closing and speeding off transitioned to just this white noise? wow. and now a crowd. what interesting choicess Track 3- "Have a Cigar"- very old pop rock vibes. Wow the guitar bro!! Seems like song is about experience coming down or after from the success of their album. Gosh who is the guitarist on this track?? Track 4- "Wish you Were Here"- ok so no one was going to warn me at how sad this was going to be. That first guitar string reminded me of wild horses :(. But wow this is a sad and soft song. Was not expecting that, but delightfully surprised. Will be adding to playlist! Track 4- "Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts 6-9"- ok so are these like multi guitar solos? multiple different songs smashed into one? here we go! ok this one is a lot more upbeat i will give it to them. feels like the ending of a movie post-climax when the chaos settles down. holy guitar dude. very interesting. the saxophone that keeps giving at the end! very cool very interesting.
