Haven't listened to The Beatles properly before, and... it's just not my thing. I think I'm understanding more the Beatles paradox, that good songwriters can succeed without being good musicians, and covers of their music is generally better than the originals. But when good musicians have their music covered by somebody else, it's generally not as good as the original, even if the cover artist is equally or more talented.
