Kid A by Radiohead
Aug 10 2026

Brings me back to the millennium. Ambient electronic sounds. I like how the lead singer uses his voice as an instrument

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Aug 11 2026

Haven’t listened to this in ages. It was so overplayed in the 1990s, but really does have some nice tunes on it. All I Really Want is so catchy!

Diamond Life by Sade
Aug 13 2026

Not really a genre I’m familiar with, but had a nice listen

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Aug 14 2026

Some really good stuff on this album. I’ve never listened to much Stevie Wonder. This was a surprise!

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Aug 15 2026

Maybe this was groundbreaking when it came out, but now it just sounds like TV commercial jingles

Fear Of Music by Talking Heads
Aug 16 2026

I’d never heard this album before, although a few of the songs I have encountered. Cities is by far my favorite, although the whole thing has a cool, timelessness to it.

Parklife by Blur
Aug 17 2026

Not bad, but I have to work to like BritPop

Toys In The Attic by Aerosmith
Aug 19 2026

There are those two famous songs and then a couple of OK ones and the rest are forgettable. Sweet Emotion is a pretty good tune though.

Aug 21 2026

“You sure look fine tonight, in the beer sign light.” That pretty much sums up my opinion of this album. It was a real stretch to listen to this until the end. Another time and a different cultural aesthetic. I’m not really into lives or women who bask in the light of beer signs

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Aug 22 2026

Kinda cute. The kind of music my mom used to hum in the kitchen while working when I was a kid

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Aug 23 2026

Interestingly unexpected. Enjoyed the novelty, but not something I imagine ever coming back to. Music from another age

Aug 24 2026

Better, in my opinion, than Parklife. I enjoyed this listen, but I’m not really sure if I *needed* to listen to this album.

Aug 25 2026

Hmm, this album was interesting. F**k the Police is still so on point even after decades. Gangsta Gangsta somehow made me want to love violence and cars and money and hoes. Then I realized it was that kind of teenage fascination with misunderstood adult things. Finally I have decided that is all this album is. It was pathbreaking, but I’m not sure it was a path that needed breaking

The Age Of The Understatement by The Last Shadow Puppets
Aug 26 2026

I wanted to like this album and what it was trying to be. I wanted cool, but all I heard was derivative nostalgia—youthfully earnest retro takes on music from another time. This album is that bad movie sequel they made instead of spending money on something new.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

Dolly was a true great, but I’ve never been able to get into anything other than her few popular songs. This album is no exception.

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Aug 28 2026

When this popped up as the record of the day, I began to hum the beginning of “Tangled Up in Blue” a song tied to powerful memories from an important time of my youth. I know every word of every song on this album. Bob Dylan at his best

Birth Of The Cool by Miles Davis
Aug 29 2026

That was a great album. I didn’t realize that I had heard it before, and I need to hear it again. Often.

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Aug 31 2026

I recognize the one song from this album that got radio play back in the day, but never heard the rest of the album. Smooth and smoky. Very captivating even with some identifiably 80s feel to it. I’ll listen to this again

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Sep 03 2026

A true classic. There isn’t anything else to say, really.

The White Room by The KLF
Sep 04 2026

I appreciated listening to this as the music of a specific time, but it was pretty boring. An album can be influential without being actually that good
