Doolittle by Pixies
Aug 10 2026

The cover is a bit weird but in a very interesting way. I've only heard one song by them which is Is She Weird. My first thought is that the lyrics of Debaser and Tame remind me of Nirvana lyrics, the way the vocalist sings also reminds me of Kurt Cobain's chaotic way of singing. Not much to say about Wave of Mutilation but I really liked the lyrics. I really like the mix of the feminine voice with the masculine voice in I Bleed. Here Comes Your Man reminded me of There's a Light that never goes out by The Smiths I'm not sure why Interesting production in Dead, I like the way his voice sounds, I don't know how to explain, it's like it's from an old muffled audio. I love the guitar in Monkey Gone To Heaven and again his vocals remind me of Kurt Cobain's especially in the album Bleach. Mr Grieves is fun, reminds me of dancing alone in my room with headphones on. I like the production change in the chorus and at the end Not sure what my opinion on Crackity Jones is on a first listen but it's definitely an interesting sound. I think La La Love You might be my favorite on first listen. I love the production and the mellow (? Not sure if it's the right word) vocals. Reminds me of The Cure's Kiss Me. No 13 Baby it's the moment I realized how much they use Spanish words in their songs not sure why it didn't stand out to me before, maybe one of them has Spanish as their first language? Or maybe it's a artistic choice, anyway I like the song and especially the production. There Goes My Gun is like a mix of Nirvana and Mother Mother to me I don't know how to explain, I like the production and again there's a feminine voice which makes the song more funky (?) And I really like that. Hey is a bit tense in the beginning/end and groovy at the "We are chained" bit. I like the guitar/bass (not sure). Silver reminds me of Cowboy movies, like I can picture the beginning of those old Wild West movies with this song playing in the background. Gouge Away again reminds me of Nirvana, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Nirvana was inspired by them or maybe just this album? Not sure but I like it. Theres a tension to the production which it's like they are building up to the chorus, very nice!

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Aug 11 2026

Very first Fiona Apple album so I'm very excited! I like the production in Sleep to Dream and the lyrics are very interesting and enticing Sullen girl seems like the perfect song to listen to when I'm in a depressive episode. I like the production, is very calming but with a unsteady rhythm beneath in parallel I think to the lyrics "It's calm under the waves of the blue of my oblivion" I love her mellow voice so much, in Shadowboxer she sounds like she's dragging the words out of her mouth and it makes the lyrics hit harder. Shadowboxer is such a good name for the feeling of fighting something before it happens, like anticipating the punch so you just start kicking the air. Again incredible production and Criminal is so relatable to me, she's putting so many feelings I wasn't even aware I had into the lyrics. "I know tomorrow brings the consequence at hand but I keep living this day like the next will never come. " First thought about Slow Like Honey is that I love the production, the slow mellow melody and her sultry voice is a beautiful combination. She genuinely is one of the greatest lyricist of all time. Her little high notes in the end oh woah The First Taste does not sound at all like what I was expecting based on the other songs but I'm not complaining. Very sensual and enticing sound and her voice just complements the production perfectly Never is a Promise is such a delicate and, at the same time, strong song. I don't have much to say about it now because I want to spend more time on the lyrics. The Child is Gone seems to be about a miscarriage or something among the lines, I can't be sure but gut wrenching lyrics either way. Pale September seems to be about the baby she lost(?) Again I'm not sure but to me it feels like she's talking about her son. Maybe I'm taking metaphors too literally Not much to say about Carrion now but I feel like it's gonna grow on me later

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Aug 12 2026

Never heard anything by this artist. Not a lot to say other than interesting production in all songs honestly this album is like a child of Charli XCX and Limp Bizkit if that makes sense It's a very cloudy and cold day and I'm completely sober but if I was at a hot humid club 3 drinks in this album would hit so hard so you know

B-52's by The B-52's
Aug 13 2026

I've only ever listen to Red Lobster from them Their sound is very interesting and funky, I like vocal inflections. I'm having a lot of fun listening to this album. My favorite track is probably There's a Moon in the Sky or 6060-842

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
