1001 Albums Summary

Classic feel good, up-beat and soft rock just as expected from Steely Dan. That is just the vibe I had about this band without ever really intentionally listening their songs and I like it, maybe not the best for bouldering though. At 41 minutes, it was not long enough for a typical bouldering session. Lyrics and music did not distract from bouldering, kept me moving fine and positive, but its not the best vibe for trying hard. Best song: Only a Fool Would Say That. 7/10.

Another feel-good soft-rock album, probably first one I ever listened from Bod Dylan. I was not going into this session with a good headspace which might have impacted this review a bit. I think I am not a fan of acoustic music like this. It did blend into background of my mind quite quickly and I hardly remember anything about it. Later while writing this I went back and listened to some of the songs again and that did not change my opinion. I guess there is a mood and place for this, but not while bouldering. Best song: Mr. Tambourine man. 4/10

Right from the start, this has energy and tempo you want for bouldering. Funky groovy and pleasant. This does not fall into the dad category of soft rock in my mind. Overall nice listen and left me in a good mood, though the album does fall off a bit. Its not that long though. 4/5.
